Health Care Convening Website Launched
Please take an opportunity to continue to learn from our April 2010 forum: Health Care for Impoverished Women in Michigan in an Era of Health Care Reform, a collaboration of the University of Michigan School of Social Work and the Nokomis Foundation.
The collaboration has launched a website (http://ssw.umich.edu/healthcare) that provides comprehensive information from our forum along with a library of resources on the topics addressed. The website is a work in progress, which will be updated periodically with additions to the resource library and “Policy Talking Points” on many of the policy initiatives suggested during the forum.
In announcing the website, Dr Laura Lein, Dean of University of Michigan’s School of Social Work and Nokomis President Mary Alice Williams said in a joint statement, “We hope that the website will be a useful resource to support advocacy initiatives on behalf of low wage earning women and their families.”
